Gamification

Gamification means to use elements of games in non-game situations to make them more engaging for users. Businesses often apply gamification for employee training, recruitment, evaluation, and organisation productivity. Gamification is also used for physical activity, voter engagement, and customer loyalty programs. The goal of gamification is to motivate users to interact with content, even if it is typically considered boring or uninteresting, such as safety or compliance training.

Today we had to find a example of gamification I believe that example was meant to implement XR and gamification That worked successfully there was meant to be an aspect of environmental activism and the experience I believe was meant to be accessed worldwide and decide whether the Technology distracted the audience from the purpose. the questions I was un able to complete.

All Web users invited to witness the oil shock, document their experiences, apply collective imagination to solve a real world problem

The ‘alternate reality’ of WORLD WITHOUT OIL is not fantasy, it’s a very real possibility,” says Writerguy Creative Director Ken Eklund. “And the game challenge is one of imagination. No one person or small group can hope to figure out the complex rippling effects of an oil shock, but the collective imagination can. And understanding it is a serious, positive step toward preventing it.”

People of any age or Web ability can participate in the game. Player communities are already forming to prepare for game launch, and pre-game play has started. To assist middle and high school teachers who want to incorporate the game into class activities, the designers have established a web page: www.worldwithoutoil.org/teach.

1 The game won the award for Activism at the South by Southwest Interactive conference in March 2008.

2
In 2022, World Without Oil was awarded a Peabody Award in a new category for Digital and Interactive Storytelling

3  I think people can think of many both difficult  and different way life could be without oil. Sharing these ideas as well as real difficulties already impacting society has been successful
